Georg Wittmann is back. After 15 years of doing absolutely nothing on my Amiga, and many people asking Georg again and again if he would like to release the sourcecodes of Virus and xvs.library, Georg now have decided to do so. But before that, Georg finally want to fix VirusZ and xvs.library for MorphOS, AROS and AmigaOS 4.x systems. VirusZ can scan in the backgrond on an HD on files for preventing infections of known viruses.
So as we see the 30'th anniversary of VirusZ this year, Georg actually decided to update VirusZ and xvs.library once again for all Amiga (-like) systems that popped up over the last 15 years. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS:

VirusZ is the last one of the classic antivirus programs for Amiga computers that still gets updated (from time to time). This is the first version that works on classic AmigaOS, MorphOS, AROS and AmigaOS 4.x, but due to some limitations it's still a beta-release. So this is the first release after 15 years and should run stable now on all AmigaOS, MorphOS and AROS systems. There are still a few restrictions though, that's why this version of VirusZ is a beta-release. The VirusZ archive (VirusZ.lha) no longer contains any of the required libraries, but you can download them here. |
